EMBASSY OF
GREECE IN LONDON
PRESS & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE

London, 22/3/2011
An effort
to record all Greek-national academics in the UK has been
undertaken by the Press Office of the Greek Embassy in
cooperation with the Office of Cultural Affairs. Since December
2010, the "Pytheas" Project -as we call it- is to create a
database of all the Greek national academics in the UK, which
will be available not only to you, but also to the wider
academic society both in Greece and in Great Britain.
In this context, this particular project, will act as a
significant tool for the development of further communication
and cooperation between academics in Great Britain as well as
their colleagues in Greece and the Greek state.
Within the framework of this effort, we could appreciate it if
you could provide us with your contact details, a short
paragraph with details of the field of expertise you are in and
your research background (in English), as well as a photograph
of yourself (preferably a passport style photo in a JPEG
format).
Further to your participation in this project, we would be
grateful if you could inform any of your colleagues who might
also be interested in the "Pytheas" Project.
We are well aware of your commitment to professional
obligations, however as the project is growing fast in
popularity and has progressed significantly, we would be really
thankful for your quick response.
For any question that you might have, please don't hesitate to
contact me personally or my colleagues at the Press Office (tel.
